FUGRO was contracted by Offshore Windpark Delta Nordsee GmbH c/o E.ON Energy Project GmbH to perform 3 discontinuous Down-hole-CPT’s, 3 boreholes with continuous sampling and 4 combined boreholes with sampling and discontinuous CPT testing, each up to the planned end depth of 50 m below seabed. The works were carried out with FUGRO’s dedicated drilling vessel M.V. Bucentaur using down-hole equipment. The system WISON was applied for the discontinuous CPT’s. The sampling, too, was carried out in down-hole mode by using the WIPSAMPLER system. The works were performed between 14th August, 2007 and 23rd August, 2007 under the overall management of the Geotechnical department of the FUGRO CONSULT GmbH in cooperation with FUGRO Engineers B.V.. The works were supervised on board through geotechnical experts of IGB INGENIEURGESELLSCHAFT MBH. The works were completed successfully on schedule.
